Enhance your AdSense Revenue with AdSense for Search

One of the things to do legally to improve your Google AdSense earnings is to make use of the Adsense for Search feature. I have visited some sites where I noticed Google Adsense Ads but no AdSense for Search. The reason for this is either the bloggers dont know the benefit of AdSense for Search or that they don’t know how to implement it. I use AdSense for Search on this blog, If you conduct a search with the search button on the header navigation bar, you would see what the result would look like. In this post, I would show you how to enhance your adsense revenue with Google AdSense for search.

What is AdSense for search?

AdSense for search is a free product that lets you to place a Custom Search Engine on your site to provide users with web search. You’ll also earn revenue from relevant ads on the search results page.

 

AdSense for search offers you the following:

choosing the content your users search: your site, a collection of sites you choose, or the entire web. You can also prioritize and restrict search to specific sections of sites.
customization of look and feel – you choose the colors, location of the ads, and the option to host the results on your site or have Google host them for you.

 

How do I add AdSense for search to my pages?

 

If your application for AdSense for search is approved, Google will provide you with AdSense for search HTML code to paste into your webpages. You can paste the default code into your source to start providing search instantly to your users, or spend some time customizing the AdSense for search box before pasting your code.

 

To get the AdSense for search code:

 

Log in to your account at www.google.com/adsense
Click the AdSense Setup tab
Select AdSense for search as the product
Select your search type — WebSearch and/or SiteSearch — and any other desired options.
Design your search box by choosing Google Logo placement, background color, and text box size.
If you’ve elected to use SiteSearch, you can set it as the default by selecting your site in the example box.
Choose your search results style palette. You can choose from our standard color palettes, or customize your palette to include your own colors and logo.
Copy and paste the AdSense for search code from the Your AdSense code box into your HTML pages.

 

How do I customize my AdSense for search results pages?

 

AdSense for search results pages are customizable to include your own color schemes and logo. Your logo can also be configured to be a clickable image, linking to the URL of any page that complies with our program policies. Your custom colors and logo are saved as ‘style palettes,’ so you can use different color schemes for results pages from different pages of your site.

 

To customize your AdSense for search results page:

 

Log in to your account at www.google.com/adsense
Click the AdSense Setup tab
Click Color Palettes
Select the AdSense for search subtab
Using the color palette and the page element radio buttons, select a color for each element of your search results page. The example page will be updated with your new colors as they are selected.
Enter the image URL and the destination URL of the logo you’d like to show on this page. If no logo is selected, a transparent box will be displayed.
Name this custom style palette and click Save. The style palette is now available for selection when generating your search code.

 

How do I put a search box on my Blogger site?

 

If you’re using the Layouts-enabled template in Blogger, you can add an AdSense for search box to your blog by following these steps:

 

Sign in to your Blogger account at www.blogger.com
Click the Layouts link
Click the Add a Gadget link
In the new window, please click on the Add To Blog button under the HTML/Javascript section.
Copy your search code exactly as it appears in your AdSense account and paste it directly into the ‘Content’ box.
Click the Save Changes button
Click the View Blog link on your Template page
